BuB’s Comics and Cards

About BuB’s Comics and Cards

As an old (as in 70’s and 80’s, rather than my current age) comic book collector, this place cries out for my almighty dollar, and whispers quietly to the naive, little boy that dreamt of saving the world one day. Nostalgia is a powerful drug. Support your local businesses, friends. Grok can give a better review than I can: Grok says this: Bub’s Comics and Cards is a beloved local comic book and collectibles shop in Gilroy, California, located at 7483 Monterey Road. Established in March 2016, it specializes in a wide array of items for enthusiasts, including new and back-issue comic books, manga, graphic novels, trading cards (like Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering, One Piece, Yu-Gi-Oh, and sports cards), Funko Pops, action figures, novelties, and other pop culture collectibles. The store prides itself on offering high-quality products, rare finds, and great deals, while fostering a welcoming community atmosphere—complete with game nights for card players. Owners are frequently praised for their friendliness and deep knowledge of comics and cards, making it a go-to spot for both casual browsers and serious collectors in the South Bay area. It’s open Monday through Sunday (with slightly extended hours midweek), and it’s even dog-friendly. If you’re in Gilroy, it’s worth stopping by for that classic comic shop vibe—think endless shelves of stories waiting to be discovered.
